Be Involved, Informed, Alert, Prepared.
These 4 “B’s” are your ticket to a safe, secure ride
Jet employees provide a wealth of specialized knowledge and on-the-job experience. Likewise, our passengers contribute to security by providing thousands of extra eyes and ears capable of identifying possible emergency situations.
When JeT employees and our passengers pool these resources, the result is a highly effective deterrent against a potential natural or disaster. So, please make a commitment to becoming an involved, informed, alert, and prepared member of this partnership.
The “Be Involved, Informed, Alert, Prepared.” Campaign is the fifth Transit Watch Campaign brought to you by Jefferson Transit.
Transit Watch was developed by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in partnership with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
The latest campaign from Jefferson Parish Transit Administration (JPTA) is part of a three year campaign to educate the public on how they can help to improve transit security for Jefferson Transit passengers. The purpose of this campaign is to increase public awareness of security issues, to encourage passengers to take an active role in keeping transit safe, and to inform the public of proper evacuation procedures during an emergency event.
