Featured Route: E4 - Metairie Road

Operating Monday through Friday, the Metairie Road (E-4) route begins at Severn and travels east to the intersection of Canal Street and City Park Avenue.  The area surrounding Metairie Road is referred to as “Old Metairie” and is one of the most beautiful areas of Jefferson Parish.  Riders on this line are transported to an area with small-town ambience and big city amenities.  A myriad of shops, restaurants, schools and professional services fall along the Metairie Road route.  

Highlights along the route include the historic Canal Street cemeteries, Old Metairie Library, American Legion Post 175, Charleston Park, Metairie Shopping Center, Metairie Towers, St. Martin Episcopal Church, St. Francis Xavier Church and School, Metairie Grammar School, and Metairie Park Country Day School. 

Connecting RTA Routes

• At the intersection of Canal Street and City Park, riders can connect with several RTA routes including 27 – Louisiana and the 42 – Canal routes.

Connecting JeT Routes

• Riders can connect with the the E5 - Causeway Boulevard and E2 - Airport lines at the intersection of Severn and Airline Drive.
