Featured Route: W-10 Huey P. Long
The Huey P. Long route connects Jefferson Parish’s east and west banks via one of Louisiana’s most historic features. Weaving through the Westbank’s residential and industrial fabric, the route begins at the Walkertown Terminal and crosses the Mississippi River over the Huey P. Long bridge. This passage provides one of the most unique views of the river to be found anywhere.
Once across the river, the route enters the thriving Elmwood commercial pocket, where many passengers disembark to visit or work at major retail centers. Another significant destination is the Joseph Yenni Building, the hub of Jefferson Parish government on the Eastbank.
